Babatunde Akinwunmi is primarily a physician and a research scientist. He is currently a clinical research project/program manager at the Saxena Lab and a research coordinator for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Clinical Genetics research at both Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Akinwunmi received his medical degree from the University of Ibadan Nigeria in 2006. He also completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2015 at the University College Hospital, Ibadan Nigeria. Dr. Akinwunmi holds a master’s degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He obtained his second master’s degree in Clinical Investigation from Harvard Medical School where he also completed a research fellowship at the OB/GYN Epidemiology center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2018.
