Jie (Jack) Hu, PhD

Dr. Jie Hu is an epidemiologist with expertise in women’s health, sex differences, and high-dimensional omics data analyses. His current research focuses on investigating hormonal, inflammatory, metabolomic, and (epi)genetic factors related to cardiometabolic diseases, as well as examining the underlying mechanisms and intergenerational link in disease risk. Dr. Hu also leads/participates in multiple consortium metabolomics and (epi)genetics projects in the Trans-Omics for Precision Medicine (TOPMed), Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology (CHARGE), and COnsortium of METabolomics Studies (COMETS). Dr. Hu obtained his MD from Tongji Medical College and his PhD from the School of Public Health at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. He was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Epidemiology at Brown University School of Public Health, Providence, RI.
