Dr. Cynthia Tchio is a postdoctoral fellow in a collaborating T-32 grant between the Harvard Medical School Brigham Women’s Hospital and the Morehouse School of Medicine Cardiovascular Research Institute. Dr. Tchio is also affiliated with the Medical and Population Genetics Program at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. She is interested in exploring the genetic implication of the understudied druggable orphans G-protein coupled receptors in sleep and cardiometabolic disorders. In December 2020, Dr. Tchio received her PhD in biomedical science and her Master of Science in clinical research from the Sleep and Circadian Disorders Program at Morehouse School of Medicine Neuroscience Institute. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Kennesaw State University in 2013.
